Camp Harkness
Many of us have experienced the profound positive effects that summer camp had on us as kids.

The benefits of that experience — confidence-building, becoming more independent, making new friends — stay with us the rest of our lives. Unfortunately, many people with disabilities donít have the opportunity to take part in this summer tradition.

Thatís why The Arcís summer camp program exists. Every year more than 300 individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities enjoy a week-long overnight camping experience operated by The Arc NLC at Camp Harkness in Waterford, Connecticut.

We are committed to offering a quality vacation experience for our campers and continue to have a registration process that will ensure the health and safety of all the campers. Welcome to Camp Harkness

In addition to our other programming, the equestrian program will be offered again this summer. Please review the 2017 Horse Program information and registration form included in the Camp Application. Individuals who are interested in participating in this program must complete the form and submit it by April 1, 2017. An additional fee of $50 per activity must be submitted with the registration form.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact me at 860-889-4435, or jhickey@thearcnlc.org. I look forward to another year of great camping and family activities.
